Directions to Liz & Phil's house in Westford

  1. By any route of your choosing, get to exit 32 (Boston Road, Westford) on route 495. This exit is halfway between the 495/route2 interchange and the 495/route3 interchange. Thus, there are many ways to do this. Our experience is that taking the following path:
    93 north to 128 south to 3 north to 495, then 495 south for a couple of exits to exit 32
    is consistently the fastest. If you live close to Alewife/route 2, you can do:
    route 2 all the way to 495, then 495 north a couple of exits to exit 32. But you'll probably get annoyed at all the traffic lights on route 2 between 128 and 495.
    If you know route 3 is hosed due to an accident, etc, taking 93 north all the way to 495, then going south to exit 32 doesnt take too much longer.
  2. OK. you've gotten to exit 32 on 495. Take this exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right if you were travelling on 495 south when you took the exit. If you were going north on 495 when you took the exit, turn left. There should be signs pointing telling you which way to go for Westford, or for route 225; you want to head in the westford direction. If you end up at an intersection with several gas stations you turned the wrong way.
  3. You are now on Boston Road headed toward Westford Center. Follow Boston Road until you can go no farther on it. You will be next to a small town green, and at a sort-of-T intersection. Turn left at the T intersection, then make your first right onto Graniteville Road.
  4. Follow Graniteville downhill, past Bixby Street on your left, and past a small pond. Shorwtly after the small pond is the intersection with Cold Spring Road. Turn left onto Cold Spring Road.
  5. We are number 95, which will be on the right. Our mailbox doesnt have a number on it, but number 93 does, so we're still easy to find. We are a brown lumpy-shingled house with a two-car garage with white doors.
